towing width law [ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ View all Messages ] Posted by jay on July 02, 2008 at 09:39:54: as most of you will know and do, we pull trailers of any size with a pickup, jeep, or big van. what most wont know is that it is illegal to pull a trailer over 2.3m (7ft 6) wide if the MGVW is less than 3500kg, regardless if you can see down the side of your trailer,caravanetc so pulling a hobby 650 (8ft 2 wide) with a navara pickup is out of the question and is a court case if you get caught and not 1 site in england will accept a transit van! this is total bollocks if you ask me http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/towing-width-law THIS IS A REAL GOVERMENT PETITION sign the petition and tell everyone elseto do the same, friends, neighbours, relatives, complete strangers it effects us all and will make our lives easier if it goes through.
