nissan navara [ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ View all Messages ] Posted by martin l on June 03, 2008 at 21:17:43: the company i work for has recently purchased 2 second hand navara's one is four years old with 120k the second three years old with 130k , mine had a sudden lack of power in third gear only , nissans diagnostics said crankshaft sensor or injectors ( there is a known fault with injectors on these vehicles ) cost £1200 but the fault remained , after reading an australian forum i tried holding the gearstick to the right whilst in third as soon as the power drop happened ( normally between 1800 and 2000 rpm )as soon as i did the power returned , problem turns out to be neutral sensor in the gearbox (inexpensive and easy to rectify), how come every forum has one or another navara owner with the same problem , but nissans diagnostics can't identify it and their service departments seem unaware of this problem affecting most navara's of this age ?
